Professor Edwin Hung
Philosopher
Dr. Edwin Hung, a retired professor, studied philosophy at Oxford University, where he graduated with the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. When young, he had a Christian education in a Jesuit-run high school.
At the tender age of 16, he vowed to serve God for the rest of his life and looked forward to becoming a Catholic priest, wearing a flowing gown, while in summer and black in winter. Ironically, his experience at Oxford, a university steeped in centuries of Christian tradition, changed all that. Science and Philosophy became his new objects of worship.
He took on a new mission to replace religion with his philosophy of Positive Fatalism. Dr. Hung has written four other books.
